Week Two Challenge

Español日本語

Week two of MaskMaking March is here, and thus we have a new Weekly Challenge! Before we get to it though, we want to thank all the participants from Week one, our returning friend (Green Ant) and our new friends, Gato Rojo, qwoortz, and Robin matize. Thank you for joining us!

This week, the Challenge is to make a patriotic mask! Imagine a wrestler named for a particular geographic area: a country, state, prefecture, city, or something along those lines. Design and make a mask for this wrestler. (If you prefer, you can make a patriotic version of a mask for an existing wrestler.) Think about what colours to use, what elements you might include in the mask. Perhaps you could use elements from a flag, or from familiar monuments or features in the area? It’s all up to your imagination. So for the Week Two Mask Challenge, you should make a patriotic mask, based on a country, state, city, or something similar.

Below are a few examples of masks based on a geographic region. From left to right we have: wrestler Australian Suicide, Captain America (which actually doesn’t have many features that say “America,” so it may not be a good example!), Captain Britain (from the UK), Captain Canuck (from Canada), and Northguard (also from Canada).

As always with MaskMaking March, you have one week to make your mask. We encourage everybody to post their masks to your online home of choice by Sunday, March 15 with the hashtag #MaskMakingMarch. We’ll repost everybody’s masks here on the website. (If we don’t see your mask and repost it, please send us a link!) Next Sunday we’ll have a brand-new Mask Challenge for Week Three!
