In our third year of MaskMaking March, we welcome our first new participant, namely the very excellent Awkward Bug Studios! For their two international wrestlers, Bug has chosen Princess Sugehit (Mexico) and Zeuxis (Puerto Rico). Look at that gorgeous ornate work on the Sugehit side! Beautiful stitching throughout. Bug noted, “Zeuxis won Princesa Sugehit’s mask in a lucha de apuestas in 2017, on CMLL’s 84th Anniversary show. Despite having been born in Puerto Rico, Zeuxis was trained in Mexico and has wrestled based out of Mexico for most of her career.” Note that this mask is not for sale, but Awkward Bug Studios does make custom wrestling gear, and can be found on Twitter here, on Instagram here, and through their website here.
